As I mentioned in my previous post I have recently suffered from lactose intolerance. I think my kids suffered more than I did though. You see, the result of having a mom that doesn't drink milk is that she has no idea that the milk has gone sour. Ewww. Sorry about that kids. Chris is the one who told me last night. He was concerned that I would feed such grossness to our daughter. But how was I to know?

Also, I am no longer lactose intolerant. Yay! My true confession comes here: I tried some milk Sunday morning (Hey, it was mothers day and I wanted milk with my muffins.) The milk didn't taste right though and I convinced myself that it was because I hadn't had any for so long and threw mine away. It turns out that this was the sour milk that my husband found that night. So I actually did know that the milk didn't taste right, but didn't do anything about it. I think I get a gold star mother award for that one.

Here is my question: If I made muffins using sour milk as an ingredient are they okay to eat? I cooked them and they taste fine. No one is sick.

Well, at least now I get to eat dairy again. I can safely monitor all milk products for sourness from now on.
