Teach them while they're young

One of the reasons we love living in Tucson is the hiking. We live not five minutes from hiking!

We have lived here for three days now so the time has come to start hiking. Chris left at five in the morning to hike to the top of Sombrero Peak. The kids and I left at seven to hike Sanctuary Cove.

Here are some pictures of our hike:

Roswell

On our rod trip that is our move from Texas to Tucson we made a detour to Roswell, New Mexico.

I had a lot of fun playing the tourist and enjoyed the UFO museum. Ella and Eli were scared of the museum. I think it had to do with the extremely scary movie the started watching there.

Here are our pictures of aliens. Some are my kids and some are not. Can you tell the difference?

(oh and there's a picture of a bear statue too- not an alien, but fun nonetheless,)

Last time?

We will move to Tucson in two weeks. I have loved living in Corpus Christi this past year and am noting the possible last times I will do things here.

These pictures are our (probable) last times on the Ferry to Port A, at the Science and History museum, and at the Texas State Aquarium.

Slime

We did a fun project today. We made it by mixing equal parts clear Elmer's glue and liquid starch, and adding food dye.

The consistency goes from runny to slimy to gooey to rubbery as you keep playing with it.

It was a big success.

Fish are friends

We love going to the Texas State Aquarium.

Today we made a friend:

He seemed to really like us.  He stayed there watching us for several minutes.  I don't know why he decided to frown for the picture...

The aquarium is one of the many things we will really miss when we move in Three Weeks!
